Jackson-Cohen was born in London, the son of David Cohen and British fashion designer Betty Jackson. Jackson-Cohen studied at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London and at the Youngblood Theatre Company at weekends. Jackson-Cohen is now filming another BBC series, Bonekickers. He has also secured a place at New York's Lee Strasberg acting school.

Jackson-Cohen plays Damon in the 2010 film Going the Distance starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long.[2]

He starred in the film Faster (2010 film) opposite Dwayne Johnson.
