Michal Vinik (b. 1976, Haifa, Israel) studied screenwriting and direction at Tel Aviv University’s Film and Television Department, where she currently teaches as well. Her short films Bait (2009) and Reality Check (Srak, 2011) were screened at Locarno and Sundance, and received awards both in Israel and further afield.
