Scott and Heather, high school sweethearts and the most popular teens in town, vowed to stay a couple while at college. But when they return home over Thanksgiving break, Heather dumps Scott, sending the usually cheery hometown hero into a tailspin. Amidst his misery, Scott starts an unlikely fling with Tori, a former nerd, who's blossomed since leaving for college. Meanwhile, Heather self-medicates her depression with weed, and starts hanging out with Petroff, a local stoner, who also happens to be Scott's best friend. This poignant and often hilarious coming-of-age story observes this group of angsty millenials with authenticity and heart as they deal with the uncertainty of their future.
